Q: Do you rent by the day or for a weekend?
A: We prefer to do Saturday-to-Saturday weekly rentals, and will only rent weekends if the weeks are not booked. We have a 3-night stay minimum and do not rent by the day.
If you’re not interested in a whole week, then please email us close to your preferred weekend to see if we're available.
A: The maximum number of guests allowed at the house at any one time is four (4), preferably 2 adults. The bedroom has a double bed. The futon in the living room also opens to a double bed. The rooms open up to one another, so privacy concerns may be a factor.
A: Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and Checkout is 10:00 a.m. We can work out the arrival/departure times to coincide w/the ferry schedule. Please do not ask to arrive early/leave late, as our cleaning crews are tightly scheduled.
Q: What if the weather is bad? A: No refund will be made for inclement weather. It is recommended that you obtain Travel or Vacation Insurance if this is a concern.
Q: Are you wheelchair accessible?
A: Unfortunately, the house has entry stairs and is NOT wheelchair accessible.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets are allowed only with prior permission of the owner. We can only accommodate small pets, and they must be quiet and house-trained. There is an additional, weekly pet fee. Any pet damages will be taken out of the security deposit.
Q: Is Smoking allowed?
A: NO. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Smoking is only allowed outside. We also do not allow matches, candles or open flames in the house.
Q: Is there off–street Parking?
A: Yes, we have a driveway that will accommodate 2 cars maximum.
Q: What household amenities are included with the rental?
A: We provide dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, serving ware. We’ve also stocked the kitchen with sugar, salt, pepper, spices, mustard, ketchup, etc.
We also provide paper-towels, soap, basic cleaning supplies, first aid supplies, etc.
The kitchen has an oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and icemaker.
We provide all linens including sheets, blankets, and towels
The Washer/Dryer is on-premises and is provided for personal use.
There is a telephone (for incoming and local calls), Cable TV and Wireless internet
Q: Do we have to clean the house before we leave?
A: You are required to leave the house in the same general condition that it was received, and to remove all of your property and trash upon departure. We ask that you wash and put away all the dishes, utensils, etc. that were used; that you sweep and/or light vacuum the floors; and that all trash is bagged and removed to the outside.

Q: What if things are damaged during our stay?
A: We expect you to maintain and leave our house in a good, clean condition without damage. We know that accidents do happen and we ask that you notify us immediately of any such occurrences. Damages to the house or it’s furnishings, beyond normal wear and tear include (but are not limited to) accidental breakage, intentional damage, theft, extensive cleaning required at checkout, extra cleaning due to pets, smoking, etc. We will notify you of any Damage Costs in writing and the costs will be deducted from the Security Deposit prior to refund.
Q: Do you have an outdoor shower?
A: No, the shower is located in the bathroom. (We do not have a soaking tub). There is outdoor water for sand removal and bicycle clean up.
Q: Is there locked storage for my bicycle?
A: Yes, we have a locked shed for our guests use.
Q: Do you provide bikes?
A: This season we do have Bicycles on premises for our guests use. Locks are also provided. Bicycle loss or damage will be deducted from the Security Deposit prior to refund.
Q: Will you rent to anybody?
A: Rentals are only made to Families and Responsible Adults; no high school, college or civic groups (chaperoned or not) are permitted.
We rent without regard to race, color, religion, sex, country of origin, handicap, sexual preference or familial status. We are gay-friendly, bicycle-friendly and pet-friendly. We are very friendly people!!
